The Indian Maritime University (IMU) has released an official notification for the direct recruitment of candidates interested in pursuing a career in academic administration. For the year 2024, IMU is offering 27 Non-Teaching positions, specifically for the roles of Assistant and Assistant (Finance). For the position of Assistant, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade.
For the Assistant (Finance) role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Mathematics, or Statistics with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade.
Desirable- Working knowledge of Information & Communication Technology, especially in accounting software for the Assistant and Assistant (Finance) role.
The maximum age limit for both posts is 35 years. However, age relaxation is applicable as per the Government of India norms.
Application Fee
The application fee for the Online CRT is ₹1000 plus GST for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC/ST candidates are required to pay ₹700 plus GST. Women candidates and those with disabilities (PwD) are exempted from the application fee. Candidates applying for both posts must make separate payments for each. The registration fee is payable only online, and it is important to note that the application fee is nonrefundable under any circumstances.

Non-Teaching Posts Selection Procedure
The selection process starts with a Computer-Based Recruitment Test (Online CRT), where the subjects vary based on the role applied for.
